About
is anybody home?
It started as a question we kept asking ourselves.
Not about a place. About whether we were actually inside our own bodies, or just moving them around all day — getting dressed for a room we weren't really in, wearing things that asked us to hold something in, sit a certain way, stay aware.
We started with underwear because it's the first thing you put on and the last thing you take off. It's also the layer most loaded with other people's opinions. Most of it is designed to be seen, or designed to disappear. Very little of it is designed for the person actually wearing it.
What we make
Body-first daily essentials. Pieces you can put on at 7am and forget about.
Our underwear is cut from 88% MicroModal with a cotton gusset, bonded rather than sewn where seams would dig. Where we do use seams, we put them on the outside. It isn't a design flourish. It's what happens when you make something for the body underneath instead of the view from above.
We don't do "naughty" and we don't do "empowering." We're not trying to make underwear mean anything. We're trying to make it disappear from your attention so you can get on with your day.
Home
Home, for us, isn't a place you go. It's the state of being settled in yourself — where you're not managing how you're being read, not holding anything in, not performing ease. Just present.
That state is easier to reach on some days than others. We think what you put on your body has more to do with it than we've been told.
Where we are
We're small and we're new. Right now we make two things: The Hipster and The Shortie. More is coming, but we'd rather do a few things properly than a lot of things approximately.
